Library Guide on Novel Coronavirus

The Library has published an online guide on Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), it provides update news and research information for health professionals and public.

Special Libary Arrangment from 29 January to 9 February 2020

The Li Ping Medical Library will open unstaffed 24/7 from 29 January to 16 February 2020 while all other CUHK libraries will be closed.  All fines incurred from 29 January to 9 March 2020 will be waived.  For details, please check the Library news.

Library Opening Hours for the Lunar New Year

The Medical Library will open 24/7 during the Lunar New Year holidays while the book stacks and staffed service hours are as follows:

24 January 2020          9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

25-28 January 2020    No services

29-30 January 2020    9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

New Study Carrels & Desk Bike

To facilitate student learning, 16 new study carrels with lighting and power point are now added at the study zone of the Medical Library.  

 A Desk Bike is also installed in the leisure reading room. You can relax, do some fitness exercise and burn more calories with the Desk Bike while working on a computer, reading or writing.

Discontinuation of Vending Machine

The vending machine services in the Medical Library's leisure reading area would be discontinued with effective from 5 October 2019, due to the low usage and high maintenance cost.
