The Library is glad to present to you LibrarySearch brings you a whole new experience in discovering information relevant to your studies and research.
LibrarySearch
combines the previous Library Catalogue and the Easy Search, and
provides a one stop searching for accessing and requesting various
resources across the eight JULAC libraries.

The Library has subscribed to new series of the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE):
JoVE Genetics publishes video articles demonstrating experimental approaches to investigate gene function and regulation. This includes methods to study gene expression, mutagenesis, epigenetics, genetic determinants of development, genetic disorders, population genetics and evolution.
JoVE Biochemistry publishes experiments that investigate the structure, function, and interactions of biological molecules. The experiments demonstrate methods to study nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids as well as enzyme function, protein folding, molecular interactions and biochemical reactions.
JoVE Cancer Research illustrates experimental approaches in biomedical research and clinical practice aimed at understanding, detecting, treating and preventing cancer. The video articles in this section demonstrate methods to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cancer, animal models of cancer research, development of new therapies and diagnostics, tumor imaging, chemical and radiation treatments, surgical procedures and improvements in therapy.
JoVE Developmental Biology publishes research methodologies in the field of developmental biology. This includes methods that are used to study biological development in vitro and in vivo at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ and whole organism levels.
Essentials of Physical Examinations I provides the foundation for performing physical exams by introducing several universal concepts such as inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. Essentials of Physical Examinations II includes more specialized examinations, from abdominal exams, male rectal exam, to breast assessment and evaluation of female pelvic structures.
Designed by pediatricians and other medical specialists, PEMSoft
is a pediatric point-of-care clinical information resource
covering the entire spectrum of neonatal, infant, child, adolescent and
young adult health. All topics are provided in list format with extensive internal links making it ideal for acute and emergency care. PEMSoft also includes a library of images and videos that are integrated within topics to assist in identification and diagnosis.
The Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy is a library newly subscribed human anatomy learning e-resource. This new resource contains about 330 videos of real human anatomic specimens in
their natural colors. The videos show complex structures step by step
in order to provide a foundation for understanding anatomical structure
and function.
The video atlas images are direct video recordings of real human anatomic specimens. As you watch, the fact that the specimen rotates lets you to see it as a fully three-dimensional object.
A new online medical video resource, Bates’ Visual Guide to Physical Examination is now available. This resource delivers head-to-toe and
systems-based physical examination techniques for the clinical assessment course, featuring more than 8 hours of video content.
When paired with the e-book Bates' Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking, Bates’ Visual Guide
serves as a complete learning solution for assessment instruction and
student preparedness for the boards and the patient encounter.
The Library has newly subscribed to the Springer Protocols online database of
reproducible laboratory protocols in the biomedical and life sciences. With an emphasis on comprehensiveness and clarity, each
protocol is organized in an easily reproducible recipe style. Each protocol is written by experts in the field and are reviewed by editors
distinguished in the specific subject areas.
You can now search and read all protocols in the 15 subject collections:

The Springer Protocols is also accessible on any mobile device. Apple, Android, and Blackberry operating systems are all supported.
A new module NeoFax and Pediatrics is now added to the Micromedex Solutions. The NeoFax and Pediatrics is an Internet-based solution that provides evidence-based drug
information, age and indication-specific drug-dosing calculators, and
enteral formula nutritional information for the neonatal and pediatric
populations.
The NeoFax and Pediatrics modules are also available in mobile apps. Follow the instructions on the Medical Mobile Apps Library Guide to install the apps.
